Tonight KU Jayhawks fans were wowed by Andrew Wiggins' vertical and his Suit & Tie dance moves in the 2013 Late Night in the Phog. What is Late Night in the Phog? It's an annual University of Kansas tradition where the basketball players do skits, dance and then practice in front of fans. This year thousands of people were turned down at the door as Allen Fieldhouse filled in a hurry with 16,300 fans getting the coveted seats to watch the show and scrimmage. |
Andrew started off his performance by dancing to Justin Timberlake's hit "Suit and Tie." As you can see in the photo above he looked pretty sharp as he did so. Next, as the team warmed up Wiggins tried to do a few spectacular dunks but took a few shots before he got his college jitters out. Finally, there was a team scrimmage and his stats are shown on the right. | Andrew Wiggins Stats for Late Night in the Phog: Total Points: 12 Playing Time: 13 minutes Accuracy: 6-8 3-Pointers: 0-2 Rebounds: 1 defensive Steals: 1 Dancing Rating: 10/10 |
Our favorite Tweet of the evening goes to @DoctorNaismith who did a great parody on Andrew Wiggins being compared to basketball superstars and switched the situation around to overstate his dancing ability. How would you rate Andrew Wiggins' dancing at Late Night? Let us know in comments! |

Here's a video of him being introduced before the scrimmage along with some Andrew Wiggins highlights (you've got to love them)! More photos and videos will be added as they become available.
Check out the photo on the right posted on Twitter by Matt Scott then head over to our page if you want to know just how high Andrew Wiggins vertical really is. This guy can soar and tonight was just a small taste of what we have in store! Along with a 14 point contribution from teammate Perry Ellis, the Blue Team beat the Crimson team 66-40. This new Kansas Jayhawks team is bursting with talent and should be very exciting to watch this year! |
